About me

I’m a Tasmanian landscape artist who loves to explore colour and light, depth and movement as well as nature’s abstractions. I love the outdoors, photography and adventure sports. Painting is my way of reliving and exploring the experience. I love experimenting with how fine detail can work with more abstract marks to create an overall impression.

Although I have been painting, exhibiting and selling my work for a while, my art career really took off after a trip to Coles Bay on Tasmania’s east coast with my family, a kayak and a waterproof camera.  A series of semi submerged photos inspired me to start experimenting with some larger semi abstract, colourful paintings.

Art is in the family. My father Peter was an artist, art teacher and lecturer in art education and my auntie Kit is a national award winning artist.

I’ve exhibited in Hobart and Melbourne and recently took part in a group exhibition at Handmark Gallery. I sold both paintings before opening night. I received a highly commended in the 2019 and 2021 Kingborough Art Prize. I have clients locally, all over Australia and internationally, including London and New York.

I completed a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Tasmania and then decided to follow my passion and went back to Uni to study graphic design and drawing at The Tasmanian School of Art. During this time I was also awarded the top gong at the prestigious Award School (Advertising) which cemented my career direction in advertising. I’ve spent the last 25 years working as an Art Director and Graphic Designer in advertising agencies and large media organisations in Hobart, Melbourne and Brisbane.

I am currently a Director and part owner of Cor Comms, a Marketing, Design and PR consultancy.

I have also written and illustrated a children’s book.
